Project Coordinator / Quantity Surveyor (H/F)

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team of consultants in Brussels


Project Coordinator act as the liaison between project managers, site engineers, and clients on construction projects, providing technical and administrative information to all parties involved in the project. The successful individual will be expected to contribute to the strategic direction of both new developments and projects currently on site. With a strong background in Cost he/she will provide Quantity Surveyor type input into budget and reporting information to ensure the projects are feasible and maintain the Client’s parameters for success.

Day to day the Project Coordinator will:

  • Operate both Strategically and in the detail coordinating the Project operations
  • Ensure the project team is clear on their objectives and managing them to client’s agreed targets
  • Manage the project process to ensure the relevant team and consultant members are provided with information required for the project
  • Manage according to an agreed schedule
  • Report to the Project Team Executive to ensure the budgets are clearly understood
  • Maintain up to date Cost and Budget information on the projects to ensure the feasibility of projects
  • Monitor the Construction Costs on live projects
  • Update regular Client reports to confirm the current project status


  • Architect or Equivalent with minimum 10-15 year experience within the construction industry on large scale projects (> 30 mil €) in Belgium
  • Critical Thinking: using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Judgment and Decision Making: considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one

  • Reading Comprehension: understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents (design brief, technical specification, process reports, etc)
  • Speaking: talking to others to convey information effectively. FR or NL and EN
  • Active Listening: giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Mathematics: using mathematics to solve problems

  • Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action

  • Systems Evaluation: identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system

  • Negotiation: bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences
  • Service Orientation: actively looking for ways to help people. Operations Analysis
  • Analysing needs and product requirements to create a design
  • Management of Material Resources: obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (create, analyze, report)
  • Proficient in design software as AutoCad, etc (extract data)
